ASPARAGUS

I want to eat
those skinny sticks of asparagus
Steam them 'til dark green
Put them in my mouth
Morning, they'll stink my piss

This poem is inspired by the haiku master Issa. I am in awe of him. The translator I like the best so far is David G. Lanoue.
